Inspired by the Sneak Peak series in Design Sponge, I’m doing my own sneak peek article of my sweet home.
We love to change the settings of our living room constantly. The image above is the most recent look of our living and dining area. After our baby girl turns half an year old, we move part of our sofa into the little space behind the wall of the living room in order to give her a larger space for activities. The living room has got many different looks since we moved in two years ago. Here are some of its previous looks:
Image below: The irregular shape rattan chair is the favorite piece of furniture in my home. I gave it a nickname: matlab chair. It was found in a local store, whose name means camellia.
Image below: The view from our home. In Taiwan, we really need to develop a built-in filter in our eyes to ignore the not-so-beautiful buildings and just focus on the pretty things.
Image below: The dining table might be my second favorite furniture. The norm 06 light above the table is by Normann Copenhagen. The Koan clock on the wall is by >Koan+ design studio.
Images blow: The studio area is the space that we spent a lot of time in. I put my drawings and the postcards I collected on the wall to make it more colorful. Recently we added two pieces of Hunter Douglas honeycomb shades in this room so that we can have more privacy and lights at the same time.
Now we have new chairs from Herman Miller in the studio area. Aero for my husband and mirra for me. 🙂
Images Below: My favorite things in the kitchen are Miele Steamer, Fisher and Paykel Dish-washer, Vitamix blender. The little green fruit dish with tree-like forks on it is Lalu fruit dish .
Images below: I put on some wall stickers on the door and the window of the bathroom to give them a twist.
My favorite thing to do at home:
The other things that I like in my home are my books and plants.
